Austin Simms is the manager of a café in the state of Virginia, United States.
And apparently some of his clients are not very familiar with good manners …
You know those simple little things like: hello, please, thank you.
So he found a simple and effective way to help his customers be friendlier every day.
Now in his restaurant, the rude you are, the more you pay for your coffee !
Look at his sign installed outside the cafe:
Indeed, on the outside menu of the restaurant, we can read:
– “A coffee” : $ 5
– “A coffee please” : $ 3
– “Hello, a coffee, please” : $ 1.75
As you can see, the more polite you are, the less you pay for your coffee!
It’s true that even if we are in a hurry in the morning when we order a coffee, we must not forget that the person who serves us is also a human being!
Yep, there is no reason to be rude! And this price card is a strong reminder of that.
“I decided to do this because I was fed up with rude customers who don’t take at least a few seconds to say ‘hello,’ says Simms.
One thing is certain, is that at Cups, service always comes with a smile!
