Since I was little, travel has necessarily meant nausea, crying and feeling unwell.
And whether by car, boat or plane, I have always had the famous motion sickness.
Pharmacists have advised me lots of remedies like Cocculin, but it never worked for me.
Fortunately, my grandmother revealed to me an effective remedy to treat motion sickness.
The trick is to bite into a sugar soaked in mint essential oil. Look :
What you need
– half a sugar
– 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
How to do
1. Take the sugar.
2. Put 2 drops of peppermint essential oil.
3. Let the sugar soak up.
4. Crunch the sugar right away.
And There you go ! Thanks to this grandmother’s remedy, no more car sickness 🙂
Easy, fast and efficient, isn’t it?
And it’s more natural than Cocculin for the same effect.
Repeat the treatment as soon as you feel the symptoms return.
If you don’t have peppermint essential oil, you can substitute it with lemon, ginger, or tarragon oil.
Be careful, peppermint essential oil should be avoided in children under 10 years old and pregnant women.
Why does it work?
The smell and taste of the essential oil helps to digest better. This instantly passes the feeling of nausea.
In addition, it clears the respiratory tract and it gives a boost. This helps prevent the feeling of being limp and in bad shape.
You can also use a Vichy lozenge instead of sugar. It’s easier to carry in the bag.
The other little trick is to put the drop of essential oil on a paper tissue and inhale this smell to calm the nausea.
To avoid motion sickness, eat before you go, but not a meal that is too fatty. Always watch the road by sitting facing the direction of travel, and avoid reading or playing on the phone.
If possible, allow air to pass into the car.
