A car overloaded on the roof greatly increases its air resistance and therefore its fuel consumption.
You must therefore avoid overloading your car with a gallery, a roof rack, a bicycle rack, a roof box or even a luggage rack when it is not needed.
Driving light also means offloading your car to consume less gasoline. Because the heavier your car, the more it consumes!
Savings made
Without a loaded luggage rack on the roof, my car consumes up to 4% less gasoline. Far from being negligible.
By charging my car only in the cabin, I save a maximum on my fuel budget.
Using all the tips of eco-driving is an effective way to reduce your fuel consumption.
